Differences!
Grinding and Polishing are great options to resurface your concrete (typically indoors) to provide a smooth living space. They are commonly used for homes and commercial spaces, and provide a clean, sleek and modern look. Grinding and polishing have a similar appearance, but different grit levels are used.
Grinding is often used to expose the aggregate, remove coatings like epoxy, glue, eliminate trip hazards, flatten uneven slabs, prepare concrete for overlays or coatings. It's also a way to have a finished floor that is not glossy.
Polishing starts after the slab has been ground flat.
A typical polishing sequence is, grind (30–120 grit), apply a concrete densifier, Hone (200–400 grit), Polish (800 grit), High polish (1,500–3,000 grit) The result is a , glossy appearance, Increased abrasion resistance, lower dusting easier maintenance.

- Prepare for epoxy or another coating: Grinding is the correct process.
- Improve an existing slab without making it shiny: Grind and seal.
- Create a decorative, low-maintenance finished floor: Full polishing is the better choice
