Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at 828-335-9836 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Concretewrks offers concrete flatwork such as driveways, slabs, patios, and walkways. We also do flooring, such as polishing, grinding, staining, knockdowns and overlays. Addtionally, we can complete poured walls or block walls with Keystone or CMU (concrete masonry units).  Grading is included on these projects.

Concretewrks is available in Western North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina and Johnson City, Tennessee. Much of our work is completed in cities such as Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard, Weaverville, Waynesville, Marion, Lake Lure, Johnson City, Greenville and more.

Most of our work will comprise of 4000 psi concrete with fiber mesh. Wire mesh or rebar will also be used for extra reinforcement, and will be installed on four inches of compacted gravel unless otherwise requested.

It depends! Colored concrete, particularly stamped and exposed aggregate, benefit greatly from being sealed. It brings out the color to more closely match the color chart, as well as provide a protective layer.. Standard driveways/sidewalks don't require it, but do benefit from sealers as well, as it can protect from damage from salt, water, etc. Sealers can last from 2 - 4 years until needing to be applied again.

It takes 24 hours before walking on the driveway, and seven days before driving. If it's a slab for a garage, please wait the full 28 days of curing before placing the building.

Yes, we can stamp and color concrete, as well as offer other decorative designs. Additionally, we can do stamped overlays, polished concrete, and epoxy projects.
